Originally the first monastery with Slavonic liturgy in the territory of Bohemia founded by the Benedictines in 1032. A part of the complex is the Baroque refectory and capitular hall with valuable frescoes, the garden with remnants of the church of St. Cross of the 11th century and monumental Gothic three-aisles of the uncompleted church of St. Prokop. History of the place is reminded by the exposition Old-Slavonic Sázava.
